The Challenge
Situated on the banks of the Marybynong River, the Essendon Rowing Club has served its members for well over 100 years. The club has undergone an array of modifications over time. The planned conversion included the addition of a lift and and accessible design. The 10 week program and a handover date in time for a regatta was to be the toughest challenge of all.
Our Solution
Pre-construction planning and procurement of long lead time items were programmed to ensure that all works were completed in succession. Working closely with MVCC and FPV, the preliminary site design and execution was completed prior to breaking ground.
The Outcome
The Rowing Club was transformed from a once outdated and inefficient building into a modern, updated, and accessible venue for both patrons and rowers.
