The Challenge

Opal Packaging engaged us to find and transform an under-utilised existing space space into a compliant, efficient office for 70-80 relocated staff. As part of a larger two-stage redevelopment, this first phase would see the conversion of an outdated storage area converted to a fully functioning office space with passenger lift access. Retrofitting a passenger lift, always a complex task, riddled with unknowns in an existing structure.

Our Solution

We delivered a full end to end service, from town planning and design through engineering and construction. A new modern layout that would achieve workplace compliance and streamline efficiency of the existing areas.

The Outcome

To support Opal’s sustainability goal, the fit-out prioritised reuse of the building envelope, reducing the need for heavy demolition and construction waste. Energy efficient lighting, climate control systems, and locally sourced materials, including a custom manufactured lift, further minimising the project’s environmental impact. The result is a compliant, efficient workplace that supports both growth and sustainability.
